This is one of the fastest and easiest recipes we have. It’s a light and savory side dish that goes especially well with chicken, turkey, rice and all the squashes.
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 Tbs olive oil
- a handful of pine nuts or walnuts (Attention: Exclude if allergic to nuts)
- (Optional after 1 year and 6 months on The Colitis Diet) Parmesan cheese, grated
Prep Time: 5 min. Cook Time 10-15 min.
- In a skillet, preferably stainless steel, warm the olive oil with pressed garlic.
- Wash Brussels sprouts, cut in half and place on the skillet. Cook on medium for 10-15 min or until tender.
- Sprinkle with pine nuts or walnuts. Add Parmesan cheese. Enjoy!
