Bread Batter Ingredients – Below are all the ingredients required on the box
- 1 box Simple Mills Artisan Bread Mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbs olive oil
Note: All the ingredients combined make a thick and shapeless batter that goes directly into a well-buttered baking mold. It does not need to be kneaded or proofed.
Recommended Silicone Baking Mold here. We recommend using a silicone mold because it is easy to get out and does not stick.
Finishing touches: Egg wash – Not on the Box, but Nice
- 1 egg (beaten) for the egg wash
- 2 Tbs sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 Tbs coarse salt (optional)
1 box of the mix yields 4 rolls.
- Combine all ingredients required on the box. Mix well.
- Butter the silicone baking mold. Pour in the batter, filling 2/3 of each mold. Do not fill them to the top. Bake according to the instructions on the box. Probe with knife to see if they are ready (if the knife comes out mostly clean)
- When the rolls are baked through, apply the finishing touches: remove from the silicone mold. Place rolls on a baking tray. Beat 1 egg and apply the egg to the rolls with a cooking brush or with a paper towel. Sprinkle the rolls with sesame seeds and salt. Bake for another 5-7 min or until the eggwash is try and shines. Enjoy!
